On a wet spring day in 2012, a couple of friends, who were amateur bbq enthusiast decided to get together to attend a local BBQ contest. Well little did they know that afternoon would change their lives for many years to come.  While walking around the energetic festival grounds they knew that they had to get involved, so they did.

The next spring the big day finally arrived and from 10X10 pop up tent they got to work serving the people, cooking pork, and frying up “The World Famous Hupig’s Pie”, what a blast it was!

Then, something pivotable happened that afternoon when their own children showed up to help. It was at that moment, amongst all the chaos, they realized as they looked at their children just how lucky and blessed they were.

It was no longer about the food or fun, it was about the children, the families in need.

Our team became a family that day, understanding many families are not so blessed to have fun with their children and attend BBQ events, instead many spend countless hours worried about finances, care, and cherishing the time they may have left.

Over the last 5 years the Hupig’s family has grown, we are always thinking about bigger and better ways to entertain the crowd and raise donations, and we will continue that effort for many years to come.

So who are we?

Its simple, we are nothing more than a team, who gets together a couple of times a year, to fry pies, BBQ, share laughs, shed tears and raise money while never forgetting to reflect on just how blessed we are.
